DESCRIPTION:The Thomas Connellan Harp Festival in Lough Gur takes place the 13th – 15th of September. There is stellar line up of some of the best harp players in the country. The festival celebrates Lough Gur’s link with famous harper and composer Thomas Connellan. DESCRIPTION:A Tale of myth and magic through music for families\n​​​​​​​\nAisling Ennis\, harp \nExplore the sound of fairy harp music with harpist ​​​​​​Aisling Ennis. \nCome help Aisling find her blue harp with the help of fairy doors in the John Field Room. \nJoin Aisling as she tells the tale of King of the Fairies Dagha and his magic harp. Introducing us to the three different types of traditional tunes which encapsulate the emotional spectrum – goltraí (sorrowful)\, geantraí (lively and cheerful)\, and ending the concert with suantraí (the lullabies). \nThis is a relaxed event\, where everybody is welcome to move about the space as they want. \nThis concert is designed for toddlers to 8-year-olds and their families\, all are welcome.\nAdults must be accompanied by a child. \n  \nTickets available here.
