Lá na Cruite, Harp Day 2020 takes place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October. It is an all-Ireland event to promote Ireland’s national instrument through concerts, lectures, popup events, and harp makers’ workshops. This year Harp Day is going world-wide virtually on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/cruiteireann and on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/HarpIreland
As well as our extensive programme of events taking place in Ireland and Northern Ireland, we have events happening in Australia, Scotland, America, England, Italy and France Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have moved to our online social platforms for public engagement. Nevertheless, we have some physical events planned with overseas partners.
Our theme will focus on harper Turlough Carolan as we celebrate the 350th anniversary of his birth.
