Harps Online – Recording for Online Performance

Harp Ireland presents Harps Online - Recording for Online Performance, a series of three talks on Zoom to help you produce effective online performance.

Joe Ó Dubhghaill (musician and sound engineer) and Aisling Ennis (harper) help you to get the best from your online harp recitals. They will advise you on what equipment you can use, how and where to set up your camera, how to avoid the pitfalls of online performances and many other topics to help you get the best sound and visuals on your video.

Join us on Zoom on Wednesday 31st March at 7pm, Thursday 1st April at 7pm and Friday 2nd April at 7pm for these three enlightening talks.

Joe Ó Dubhghaill performed as a cellist with the National Symphony Orchestra for 7 years before joining RTE's Film Sound Production & Post-Production department. He spent 20 years with RTÉ after which he set up Pine Valley Recording Studio in the idyllic location of Killaloe in Co.Clare. Joe has an MA in Music Technology from the University of Limerick and also lectured in Music Technology and Audio Production at the Limerick Institute of Technology until 2014.

Aisling Ennis is an award-winning, professional harpist based in Wicklow, Ireland. She has enjoyed a very successful international career as a solo, chamber and orchestral harpist and educator. Aisling is known for her evocative playing and arrangements across a broad spectrum of genres. In September 2020, in response to the Covid19 pandemic, Aisling launched Harp O'Clock Concerts, a weekly series of harp concerts delivered on Zoom.
