Multi-media installation based on Mícheál Ó Catháin’s Early Irish Harp: The State of the Art interview series

Building on last year’s 2018 National Harp Day concert performed by Mícheál Ó Catháin and Javier Sáinz, Mícheál curated a special multi-media installation showcasing the Early Irish Harp: The State of the Art interview series at Naas Arts & Culture Centre, Kildare. The unique interview series on which the installation was based was funded by an Arts Council Deis Recording & Publication Award (accessible at www.michealocathain/interviews) and features Siobhán Armstrong, Simon Chadwick, Paul Dooley, Ann Heymann and Javier Sáinz. Co-ordinated with Hugh Farrell, the event generated a lot of interest with a large viewing audience engaging with the installation throughout the day. The event continued to foster positive relationships between Mícheál and Naas Arts & Culture Centre, Kildare Co Council and the Historical Harp Society of Ireland.
