National Harp Day 2018
Wexford HighlightsWexford Harp Ensemble/Cruitirí Loch Garman, under the direction of Aileen Kennedy, celebrated National Harp Day 2018, with an evening recital in the beautiful venue of St. Iberius Church.
Earlier in the day members of the Ensemble, who have been christened Wexford’s music ambassadors, gave “pop up” recitals at various venues in Gorey and around the county.
They even checked into Wales ̶ some members, who were visiting Wales with the Danescastle Music Group managed to entertain with “pop up” concerts in Fishguard.
It was a wonderful day for the harping community in Wexford and we are in planning mode for even more harps to be playing in Wexford next year.
