Bray harpers Rachel Duffy and Niamh Fitzsimons performed in Bray Library, Eglington Road on Saturday morning to celebrate National Harp Day. They played a programme of traditional Irish and Scottish music alongside pieces composed by Catriona McKay and Rachel Duffy.
Exhibition and launch
Local harp maker Kevin Harrington launched his new student harp at the event and members of the public were given the opportunity to try out his harps. The new student harps are hand-made from high quality birch laminates in his workshop in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow.
The event was well attended by members of the public and covered by the local press.
