What is your name / where are you from?
Anne-Marie O’Farrell from Dublin.

How did you start playing the harp?

I was already learning singing and piano, but really wanted to start the harp. I remember telling my friends in the playground that they should learn the harp because it was way easier than anything else! I started with Nancy Calthorpe at the College of Music (now TU Dublin Conservatoire).

What does the harp mean to you?

I love how music of the harp has neither boundary nor border – it crosses every threshold.

Lá na Cruite is a wonderful opportunity to show how versatile this lovely instrument is.
