Tomás MacUileagóid

Tomás MacUileagóid has worked as a Deputy Principal in a primary Gaelscoil for many years. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays traditional fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes. He has taught music on all three instruments. For 20 years Tomás was involved in Craobh Naithi CCÉ. He is currently Chairman of World Fiddle Day Scartaglin festival and has been centrally involved in the ‘Handed Down’ series in Scartaglin since its inception. He has been involved in recording music for Craobh Naithí. He also published a collection of traditional music from the North Kerry region called ‘Drawing from the Well”.

Tomás learned the craft of harp making from Colm Ó Meachair, and continues to restore Colm’s work , as well as making commissioned harps under his Eala Harps label.
