Seána Davey

What is your name / where are you from?
Seána Davey, from Co. Meath.

How did you start playing the harp?
Tony and Ann Finnegan set up a harp school in Nobber, Co. Meath and I was lucky enough to be one of the first students to start. We hired a lovely Jan Muyllaert harp from the harp school for three years before I got my own Colm Ó Meachair harp.

What does the harp mean to you?
Its music is the language of fairies. I was smitten with it from when I was a little girl and it has afforded me some brilliant opportunities.

What do you like most about Lá na Cruite | Harp Day?
Connecting harp players worldwide and bringing the harp to the fore.
