Harpathon 2025, a day-long celebration of harp music and Harp Day
The Irish World Heritage Centre in Manchester hosted Harpathon 2025 for Lá na Cruite/Harp Day on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The event ran from 11 am to 6 pm, featured various harpists and activities. A 7-hour harp marathon of continuous harp recital performance, 4 hours of ‘Try the Harp’, and a showcase of Lauren Scott’s new Étude volume.
The event included performances by the next generation of harpists and a special guest performance by harpist Lauren Scott, who performed pieces from her new book, Modern Études for Harp. The event also included competitions, prizes, a cafe, bar, and free onsite parking.
