A wonderful Harp Day celebration in Kinsale library yesterday to celebrate Harp Day 2025. Audiences were thrilled to hear the amazing Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh’s lovely and insightful workshop on Séan Nós airs. That was followed a great afternoon of music with so many Incredible harpers and musicians.

Tuesday 14th October
Honan Chapel, UCC
UCC TradSoc  presented Harpers in the Honan featuring the harp/box duo of Oisín Morrison & Tommie Cunniffe, alongside harper and vocalist Aisling Urwin.

Saturday 18 October
MTU Cork School of Music
An epic concert which included a total of 23 harps was held in the Stack Theatre, organised by lecturer Anne Marie Papin Labazordiere.

Doneraile Court, Co Cork

The Historical Harp Society of Ireland’s ‘Discovery Day’ took place at Doneraile Court on 18th October, Harp Day as part of the East Cork Festival of Early Music.
 The event included a talk on the early Irish harp by Dr Siobhan Armstrong at 11 am,
 early Irish harp Beginners Workshop with Eibhlís Ní Ríordáin at 11.45am and a concert at 5.30pm with the Earls of Ormond featuring countertenor Mark Chambers.
