Calling All Harpers!
Saturday 17th October is Lá na Cruite|Harp Day. This is our ninth year marking our almost 1000-year tradition and we’d love to hear from you.
Each year we publish videos from harpers world wide on our YouTube channel to celebrate Lá na Cruite|Harp Day. If you’d like to be part of Harpers’ Call, please send us your video by (Wednesday 7th October).
This year we ask for a €20 contribution per video to help with editing and branding costs.
Please follow the steps below to submit your video.
- Record a short 2 to 3 minute video of your harping (in landscape format). We accept .MOV and .MP4 formats. We also need
The name of the harper;
The name of the tune;
The general location so we can pin it on our online interactive map. - Please use the “make a donation” button on the top right hand side of our Home page on our website.
- Follow the steps and donate €20.
- Take a screenshot of your donation confirmation OR take a note of your Donation ID and the date you made your donation.
- Fill in the Harpers Call Video Submission Form here. You will be asked to upload a screenshot confirming your donation OR to confirm your Donation ID and date.
- You will then be asked to upload your video (under 1GB) OR to send us a link by WeTransfer.

Doing something special for Lá na Cruite?
If you are organising an in-person event get in touch and tell us what you are doing. Give us details of your venue, who is performing, the date and the time. While Lá na Cruite is on October 17th, we can still include Lá na Cruite events in the week before and the week after the day itself. Please email info@harpireland.ie with full details.
