Music Network Launches Music Capital Scheme 2024

Applications have opened for the Music Network Music Capital Scheme 2024!

Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland would like to encourage harpers of all levels to consider availing of this fantastic initiative.

The Music Capital Scheme, supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, provides funding for the purchase of musical instruments to individual professional musicians at all career stages, and non-professional groups across the country.

Harpers have benefited greatly from the Music Capital Scheme in the past, with Alannah Thornburgh, Úna Ní Fhlannagáin, Aisling Urwin, Rosie Murphy, Cormac De Barra, Aisling Ennis, Laoise Kelly and many others securing funding for the purchase of harps and harp equipment.

If you’re interested in applying, check out Music Network’s online information sessions on the application process, which include one-to-one consultations.

Additionally, Cruit Éireann | Harp Ireland is happy to offer advice and support to any harpers who are considering applying. Feel free to get in touch with us at

A total of €542,000 in funding is available through the awards. Full information on the Musical Capital Scheme and the awards available can be found here.
