Three exceptional artists working at the forefront of the Irish folk tradition: harper, concertina player and composer Aisling Lyons, sean-nós dancer, singer and concertina player Becky Ní Éallaithe, and uilleann piper and singer Muireann Ní Shé. Drawing on the rich traditions of their homeplaces – Cork, Connemara, and Clare, this newly formed trio presents a programme of traditional music, song and dance that honours Ireland's living oral tradition while embracing fresh creative perspectives. Themes of the feminine voice, place, and the natural world emerge in a programme developed through an ongoing artistic collaboration. Bí Liom Bí weaves together music, song and dance in performances that are both deeply rooted in tradition and unmistakably contemporary, featuring newly composed works by Lyons, Ní Shé and Ní Éallaithe. This performance is a celebration of tradition as a living, breathing artform, grounded in authenticity while driven by curiosity.
