Lecture: Valentine Rennie – The Celebrated Professor of the Irish Harp.
Valentine Rennie, a remarkable musician, was one of the foremost entertainers of Georgian Ireland. Initially a student of the Irish Harp Society, Rennie became the last great master harper of that institution. A relative of the Scottish poet Robert Burns, he played for the King at the opening of Ireland’s first great concert hall.
