On Thursday, May 16th, at 13:10 the TU Dublin Harp Ensemble will present a lunchtime concert of historical, traditional Irish, classical and contemporary works for harp in celebration of Ireland’s rich harping tradition. The programme will include compositions and arrangements by Gráinne Hambly, William Jackson, Gráinne Meyer, Anne Crowley and Joan Trimble.
Founded by Denise Kelly McDonnell, the Ensemble is currently directed by Rachel Duffy and Fiona Gryson and mentored by Clíona Doris. Each of the members is either studying for an undergraduate BMus or BMusEd degree or is pursuing Postgraduate studies or PhD research at TU Dublin Conservatoire.
